The Carolina Panthers will host their NFC South rival New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon. Here is the tv info, the betting odds and final prediction.

Week 3 of the 2017 NFL season is here. On Sunday afternoon, we’ve got a very important NFC South rivalry game on tap. The Carolina Panthers (2-0) will host the New Orleans Saints (0-2).

Kickoff from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte will be at 1:00 p.m. ET on September 24. FOX will have the telecast with Kenny Albert and Ronde Barber in the booth. The available live streams can be found on NFL.com and on FuboTV.

New Orleans enters play at 0-2 and in desperate need for a win. The Saints defense continues to struggle, as it gave up a ton of points in Week 1 to the Minnesota Vikings and at home in Week 2 versus the New England Patriots. New Orleans’ offense continues to be centered around certain Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees. However, is it time for the Saints to move on from Brees and Sean Payton in the Big Easy?

Carolina is 2-0 on the year, but their wins aren’t overly impressive. Though the Panthers’ defense has been terrific, Carolina has beaten two rookie head coaches in Kyle Shanahan and Sean McDermott in back-to-back weeks. The Panthers need to do more than just field goals to beat the rival Saints at home in Week 3.

According to SportsBook Review, the Panthers will be laying 5.5 points at home to the visiting Saints. The associated moneylines for this game are Carolina -245 and New Orleans +205. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 46.5 points.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Carolina -5.5
Moneylines: Carolina -245, New Orleans +205
Over/Under: 46.5

With the Saints in a complete must-win game, expect Brees and company to give the Panthers everything they have offensively. While the Saints are a dome team, that offense can put up points on just about anybody. The question comes down to if the Panthers can do much on offense.

Expect Carolina to overlook the atrocious Saints defense at home. The Panthers will be without Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen, who suffered a broken leg in Week 2. Rookie running back Christian McCaffrey has yet to factor into the Panthers offense. It largely hinges on quarterback Cam Newton to be an accurate passer.

A pair of costly turnovers will allow the Saints to take a slim 24-23 lead late in the ball game. Newton will get kicker Graham Gano in position to make the winning field goal. It will be a 48-yarder that sails just wide right. The Saints upset the Panthers to get to 1-2 with a one-point road victory in Charlotte.

Prediction: Saints 24, Panthers 23
