Mississippi State and Georgia face each other in an SEC heavyweight matchup this weekend in Athens, GA. Here’s how you can watch the game.
The premier SEC matchup this weekend will be in Athens, GA, where it will be a game between the Bulldogs. Mississippi State and Georgia head into this game, both sitting at 3-0.
The two teams come into the game with very different seasons thus far. Mississippi State has a signature win over LSU in Week 3, while Georgia has beaten up on lesser opponents. Both squads lean on their ground games to set up the passing attack.
QB Nick Fitzgerald has been efficient for Hail State so far, completing 43-of-70 passes, including seven touchdowns to only one interception. He’s been leaning on RB Aeris Williams and the running game, but it’s been working out so far.

On the other sideline, Georgia has been carried by RB Nick Chubb, as they’ve been able to ease QB Jake Fromm into the fold. It’ll be Fromm’s fourth collegiate game ever, so it’ll be critical to not throw him into the fire against his toughest opponent yet.

According to SportsBookReview, Georgia is currently a three-point favorite in this game at home. The moneyline is set to Mississippi State +225 and Georgia -265. The over/under for this game has been set to 50 points.
Nobody expected this to be a big matchup in the SEC when the season first began, but they have both played better than preseason predictions. Georgia can win out if they run the ball well and Fromm is a game manager. Mississippi State will need to play with the same attitude from last week against LSU and maybe they can upset their opponent again.
