8. Marlon MackĀ vs.Ā Cleveland Browns

Does Frank Gore have anything left? This will be the game where we find out.

He is one of my favorite players of all time but it may be time for Frank Gore to find a new home. The Colts drafted the electric rookie running back Marlon Mack and need to unleash him. Sunday is the game to do so.

Cleveland’s defense was able to bottle up the Steelers rushing attack in Week 1. However, in Week 2 Baltimore came to town and racked up 136 yards rushing and a touchdown. The Ravens’ running backs also caught seven passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. There are points to be had for Indianapolis running backs.

Mack has shown burst, and explosiveness as part of a bad Colts offense. He struggled against Arizona last week but the Cleveland defense does not have the same athletes that the Cardinals rolled out. Mack will get plenty of opportunities. The Colts defense is bad and the Browns may put up some points making them pass their way back into the game.

It has been almost an even split for the two running backs. Gore has only 8 more carries than the rookie. Mack will get the nod if the Colts are down as he has shown ability as a pass catcher that Gore does not have any more. In PPR formats and any type of keeper league Mack may be the guy going forward.

The Cleveland and Indianapolis game, even if it turns out to be a dud will have fantasy value. The key will be finding it.

The next name on the list was likely a first round pick but gets the best matchup of the week.
