Virginia Tech vs. Old Dominion live stream: How to watch online
The No. 13 Virginia Tech Hokies will face off against the Old Dominion Monarchs Saturday. Here’s how to watch one of the hottest teams in college football online.
The Virginia Tech Hokies hope to continue their undefeated start to the season as they play Old Dominion. Kickoff from Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia on Saturday will be at 2:00 p.m. ET. The ACC Network will have the telecast. The available live stream will be on WatchESPN.
Virginia Tech has been convincing in their first three outings of the season. They began with a win over No. 22 West Virginia on a neutral field. From there, they didn’t miss a beat. In Week 2, they shut out Delaware 27-0 and last Saturday they blew out East Carolina by a score of 64-17. They come into this game with a ton of confidence. Josh Jackson has been a formidable leader of a stellar Hokies offense. He has thrown for 829 yards and eight touchdowns.

He was even named CBS Sports Freshman of the Week following a five touchdown performance against East Carolina. Defensively, the Virginia Tech has proven themselves to be the real deal early this year. They’ve given up just 41 points in three games and 365.3 yards per game. Furthermore, they’ve forced their opponents to turn over the ball six times. If Virginia Tech continues with this level of play, not only will Old Dominion not be an issue, but they could breeze through conference play, as well.

Old Dominion’s start to the season hasn’t been too shabby either. They are 2-1 and their only loss came against North Carolina last weekend. It’s hard to pin down the offense of the Monarchs because they use multiple quarterbacks. Against the Tar Heels, three different players played the position. Blake LaRussa has the most passing yards on the team with 358. However, his effectiveness isn’t the best; he’s thrown two touchdowns and three interceptions. Their running game isn’t great either. Old Dominion’s leading rusher is Jeremy Cox, who has run for just 158 yards on 53 carries. Needless to say, their offense leaves fans wanting more. Defense got them through the first two games of the season. Before giving up 53 points to North Carolina, they gave up just 24 in two games total. This game will be important to see if Old Dominion can compete with major teams, but it will be hard for them to get anything going against this great Hokies defense.

While Virginia Tech may not be able to cover the spread, they should defeat Old Dominion easily. The Hokies simply are much better on both sides of the ball than the Monarchs.
