Believe it or not, we’re a third of the way through the 2017 college football season. Let’s take a look at the projected Top 25 rankings heading into Week 5 next week.

Holy lord. It’s almost October already. Why are you moving so quickly, 2017 college football season? You’re not even giving us a chance to enjoy you even though we really are.

Sure, some of the things have remained the same. Alabama is still really good at this football stuff. Duh. Of course.

But, there’s been some interesting storylines as we work through this season.

What’s wrong with USC quarterback Sam Darnold? Was last season a bit of a freshman fluke? How about Penn State? Are they going to be able to handle the hype after an amazing run to close out last season?

Can anybody compete with Alabama in the SEC this season? There’s gotta be someone, right?

So far, we’ve actually gotten a few of those answers. The Nittany Lions are for real. Georgia is one of the toughest teams in the country right now.

Oh, and Clemson isn’t going anywhere. They’re still very good.

The Big 12 title race almost took a massive turn with Oklahoma AND Oklahoma State both losing to conference opponents, but the Sooners fought off a furious rally from Baylor to keep their hot streak going to start the season.

As for the Cowboys, things didn’t go so well against Kenny “Trill” Hill and TCU at home in Stillwater on Saturday.

With that being mentioned, let’s hop into this week’s Top 25 projections.
