On Sunday at MetLife Stadium, the New York Jets pushed around the Miami Dolphins. What did we learn from this lopsided Week 3 tilt?
Who said anything about tanking the season? If you actually bought the premise that the New York Jets were not interested in winning anything in 2017, shame on you.
Led by quarterback Josh McCown and a defense that made all the necessary plays, Todd Bowles’ team avenged a pair of losses to the Miami Dolphins last season via a 20-0 victory.

Three Stars
1. Josh McCown
The often-criticized quarterback connected on 18-of-23 passes for 249 yards, including a 69-yard TD strike to Robby Anderson, as the Jets got their first victory of the season.
2. Robby Anderson
His 69-yard scoring grab just before halftime gave Todd Bowles’ team a 10-0 lead at intermission. Anderson finished with three catches for 95 yards and a touchdown in the Jets’ 20-6 win.
3. Buster Skrine
The veteran in a young secondary, Skrine finished the afternoon with eight tackles and a sack in the Jets’ near-shutout of the Miami Dolphins.

Odds
Gase’s team opened up as a 6-point favorite against the New York Jets and they made it look easy against the visiting Dolphins. The over/under for the game sat at 41.5 and was never really threatened.
Next Week
The Miami Dolphins continue to play games away from the Sunshine State. While they are the host team for next Sunday’s tilt with the New Orleans Saints, the contest will be played in London, England. Meanwhile, the suddenly-revitalized New York Jets are home for the second straight week and welcome the Jacksonville Jaguars to MetLife Stadium next weekend.
