John Cena and Roman Reigns put on a show at No Mercy on Sunday night, and Twitter absolutely exploded as they saw the battle go down.
At No Mercy on Sunday, the match that many were looking forward to after weeks of hype didn’t even end the show, but John Cena and Roman Reigns’ dream match was certainly good enough to be a main event at any other show.
The two had been going back and forth with some shots on the microphone over the last month ever since Cena came back to RAW after SummerSlam, but the two hadn’t gotten physical at all in the build-up to the match. Then, Sunday night came along, and the two put on an incredible match for the fans.
In the end, Reigns took down The Face That Runs The Place, as he hit a Superman Punch and a spear to finish the match and cement his status as the rightful owner to the yard in WWE. The two showed respect to each other after the match, and Cena eventually left after signaling another break from the company.
Twitter was all over the match, as users were probably planning material to put out as soon as the match was even rumored a month ago. So, as expected, there was some golden content out there to look for, and we’ve compiled some of the best reactions to the match for you to enjoy below:

Cena might be the best of all time. He's 30% Tom Brady, 30% Wayne Brady, 30% Greg Brady and 10% Virgil. #NewMath #WWENoMercy

There's only one opponent and one venue remaining for Cena #WWENoMercy

And STOP calling Cena the greatest of all time!
Cena does 4 AA's, Reigns does 1 spear IN THE RING AND WINS! WOW WWE! Pathetic. I get he's the top guy etc but 1 spear? Really?! #WWENoMercy

We likely won’t be seeing Cena on WWE television for a little while after this match, but what we don’t know is what’s next for Reigns on RAW.
Next: Best WWE star from each state
The Big Dog will appear on Miz TV on RAW on Monday night, and Reigns will likely get to pick whatever direction he wants to for his next feud after such a huge win at No Mercy.
