1:00 PM EDT Saints (+6) at Panthers

I honestly believe the public still has visions of the 2015 Panthers in their heads when thinking about the 2017 iteration of the Carolina Panthers. This is not the team that went to the Super Bowl and lost to the Denver Broncos two seasons ago and although their defense is still stout their offense is stuck somewhere between neutral and first gear. Now this middling offense has to face a potentially explosive aerial attack in the form of Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. If this turns into a track meet the Saints will not only cover the number but win this game outright. With that said, for our NFL picks, let’s grab the points and back the boys from the Bayou!

1:00 PM EDT Giants at Eagles (-5 ½ )

The Eagles will be licking their chops in anticipation of a big ol’ giant slaying at the Linc. Carson Wentz is figuring out what it takes to be successful in the NFL and his team will get their first taste of home cookin’ this season as their two previous games have been on the highway in a win over Washington and a loss last week to the Chiefs. On the flip side, the Giants are 0-2 and are having difficulty doing what it takes to win games which is – scoring touchdowns.

The Giants also have defensive issues this week as Janoris Jenkins is questionable and middle linebacker B.J. Goodson will not be suited up for this one. Eli Manning has been a hot mess but his protection up front has gone missing in action. You can’t throw touchdowns when your face is in the dirt. Manning will see an enormous amount of pressure from a fearsome defensive front and there will be no place for him to hide. expect to see Manning in the fetal position more than once this afternoon.

This is a mismatch and the NFL odds are downright generous in allowing us to lay anything less than a touchdown in this divisional showdown. Back the Eagles in your NFL picks and watch those birds soar!
