Other schools get caught up in the investigation

The three indictments issued draw connections to seven universities that span the college basketball spectrum. Again, although they aren’t mentioned, a quick Google search will reveal the likely names involved. Five schools are discussed in the two indictments issued against four current assistant coaches. They are the University of Arizona, Auburn University, Oklahoma State University, the University of South Carolina and the University of Southern California. Additionally, both the University of Louisville and the University of Miami (FL) are referenced in the indictment made against Adidas officials.

As mentioned by the United States Attorney Office at today’s press conference, the investigation into this scandal is ongoing. Further to that point, the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided the offices of ASM Sports and retrieved the computer of agent Andy Miller. Miller is one of the top agents in the NBA. Additionally, the legal documents filed on Tuesday identify rival shoe companies and additional unnamed coaches who interacted with the undercover officers involved in the investigation. Finally, the USAO has set up a hotline for tips that would identify additional potential targets in the investigation.

It doesn’t take much imagination to figure out that this investigation is far from over and that it could reach every nook and cranny of the of the college basketball universe. For those throwing stones at the programs already listed, be careful.
