Week 4 of the college football season is in the books but recruiting never stops. Let’s take a look at the updated recruiting rankings.
College football action is heating up and the top teams in the country are establishing themselves. Just ask Alabama which just humiliated Vanderbilt on their home field after the Commodores claimed they wanted Bama.
Despite that big victory for Nick Saban’s squad, his 2018 recruiting class still sits outside of the top 10 in the country. Programs like Ohio State, Penn State, Texas, Oregon, Notre Dame and Oklahoma remain in the hunt for that No. 1 spot for 2018, along with a few others.
Let’s check out the 247Sports top 10 rankings after the fourth week of action:
- Ohio State: 18 commits
- Texas: 18 commits
- Penn State: 23 commits
- Miami: 19 commits
- Oregon: 22 commits
- Tennessee: 23 commits
- Florida:17 commits
- Notre Dame: 16 commits
- Oklahoma: 19 commits
- UCLA: 23 commits
Yet again, the team recruiting rankings after the fourth week of action remains the same. This marks the third week in a row that the 247Sports rankings have experienced no changes — and it’s because there haven’t been many new commitments.
Were there any changes in the ESPN recruiting rankings? Let’s find out. Now, here’s a look at the ESPN rankings after Week 4:
- Ohio State
- Texas
- Penn State
- Miami
- Tennessee
- Oregon
- Florida
- Florida State: 18 commits
- Oklahoma
- LSU: 19 commits
Just like the 247Sports rankings, the ESPN list of top 10 teams remained the same after Week 4 with no new commitments. The only difference, besides some ranking spots, from the 247Sports rankings is that ESPN has LSU and Florida State in the top 10.

Now that teams are getting more official visits from 2018 recruits this fall, there should be more commitments as the weeks wear on.
