4. Georgia vs. Tennessee – 3:30 p.m. EST – CBS

Georgia has had one of the most impressive first months of the season with wins at Notre Dame and vs. a Mississippi State team last week that was coming off a 30-point win over LSU. Kirby Smart’s team looks like they’re ready to contend for the SEC this year, but they’ll have to put away Butch Jones and the Vols first. Annually one of the top games in the SEC East each year, this game has the chance to get ugly if Tennessee starts slow.

Tennessee hasn’t played great football this year and barely escaped against winless UMass last week and the heat is on Butch Jones to save his job. Tennessee can play with that on their shoulders and stick with Georgia. Or that pressure could cause the Vols to play tight and get exposed against a Georgia offense that’s getting better each week as quarterback Jake Fromm gets comfortable.

I think Georgia has the potential to win by double-digits and effectively end any hope of Jones salvaging his job later this season. If Jones has losses to Florida and Georgia already before October, he’d need to beat Alabama next month to have any chance of keeping his job. That’s just not happening the way Alabama has played this year.
