Edie Falco stars in the new Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders. Here’s how you can watch season 1, episode 1 live, on TV and online.

Another true crime story hits the airwaves Tuesday when NBC premieres Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders. It’s another limited series with a star-studded cast, this time retelling the story of how Erik and Lyle Menendez were tried for the brutal murders of their parents.

Edie Falco, who reteams with Dick Wolf for the first time since she appeared in the original Law & Order, is the star of Menendez Murders as the Menendez brothers’ lead defense attorney Leslie Abramson. Unlike the other L&O series that have the prosecutors and cops as heroes, the goal of Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders is to show the other side of the sensational murder case.

Wolf and NBC have recruited some strong names to do it, too. Sam Jaeger (Parenthood), Josh Charles (The Good Wife), Heather Graham (Californication) and Anthony Edwards (ER) join Falco, alongside Gus Halper (Chicago PD) and Miles Gaston Villanueva as the Menendez brothers. But will big names, and the big Law & Order brand, lead to big ratings?

"After Jose and Kitty Menendez are found murdered in their upscale Beverly Hills home, their eldest son Lyle maintains a stoic appearance while his younger brother Erik struggles to deal with overwhelming grief. As detectives Les Zoeller and Tom Linehan search for the killers, evidence begins to suggest that Lyle and Erik may be the prime suspects. Meanwhile, a tenacious and energetic defense attorney, Leslie Abramson, takes an interest in the case."
