Tyquan Lewis

Edge, Ohio State

The Detroit Lions surprised everybody last season by making it to the playoffs, though they looked bad in their Wildcard Round loss to the Seattle Seahawks. In 2018, the Lions have gotten off to a 2-1 start, though they could easily be 3-0 at this point. They lost a heartbreaker to the Atlanta Falcons last weekend, but the future definitely looks bright for this Lions roster.

One area they need to continue to get better is up front on defense, as they have to play arguably the best quarterback in football twice a year. Aaron Rodgers always gives the Lions fits, so being able to get to him consistently has got to be a priority come draft time. Tyquan Lewis from Ohio State is an exciting edge rusher, and would be a solid addition to an already stacked front for the Lions on defense.

Lewis has the ability to play on the edge up front, but he could also be moved back into an outside linebacker position. He has tremendous speed for somebody his size, and his physical abilities are going to translate well to the NFL game. He also played under Urban Meyer at Ohio State, so he should come into the league as NFL-ready as any edge rusher this draft class has to offer.
