Minkah Fitzpatrick

Cornerback, Alabama

If the season ended tomorrow, the Cleveland Browns would pick twice in the first seven picks. Last April, the Browns traded with the Houston Texans to get their 2018 first round pick, as the Texans wanted to trade up and get Deshaun Watson. The former Clemson quarterback has proven to be the right choice early on, and it is now up to the Browns to capitalize on their two early picks in the 2018 NFL Draft.

While the Browns are likely to go offense with their first pick, expect them to bolster their secondary with their second. They let Joe Haden go this past offseason, and they need to find someone to replace him in the secondary. That person could be Minkah Fitzpatrick, who is the best cornerback this draft class has to offer.

The Crimson Tide defense is loaded, and Fitzpatrick is one of the biggest reasons why. He has the ability to play all over the secondary, possessing great ball skills. The Browns need playmakers in this secondary, as they are burned by the pass way too often, so using a top pick on a cornerback makes a lot of sense for the Browns, who are starting to build something special in Cleveland.
