4. T.J. Yeldon, Jacksonville Jaguars

After missing week 1 with a hamstring injury, Yeldon has ben a healthy scratch in each of the last two weeks. That prompted Jaguars’ head coach Doug Marrone to profess that the team “loves” the Alabama product this week, while citing a simple numbers game that left no room for Yeldon to be in uniform in Week 2 and Week 3.

Leonard Fournette was drafted to be Jacksonville’s workhorse back, and that has come to fruition with 57 carries through three games. Chris Ivory and Corey Grant have picked up what’s left, with 21 and seven carries respectively, so even if he had been active the last two games Yeldon would have probably been fighting for snaps.

The Jaguars have apparently been trying to send Yeldon a message, or push him out the door, with the acquisitions of Ivory and Fournette over the last two offseasons. But he had 50 receptions last season, and 36 catches as rookie in 2015, and if he can rebound back to even what he did on the ground as a rookie (4.1 yards per carry) he can be a very productive player. The Packers should be ready to buy low in a trade.
