Cleveland Browns defenders dealing with nagging injuries

The Cleveland Browns are still dealing with nagging injuries on their defense.

Myles Garrett, the Cleveland Browns first-round draft choice, has not played a single NFL regular season snap. Jamie Collins, who the Browns signed to a $50 million contract, missed week three’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

The news is different for the two players. Collins will be out for the second straight week with a concussion. Garrett, on the other hand, finally returned to practice. He has missed the entire season so far with an ankle injury.

While Garrett returned to practice on Sept. 28th, it is unknown if he will play in week four. He is officially listed as questionable. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network first reported the news.

Cleveland would certainly like to see two of their premier defenders back in uniform for their game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The team is 0-3 going into the game, and it appears like the team is in line for another high draft pick.

In what was supposed to be a year of improvement after dropping big money on their offensive line and defense, the team has not taken the steps forward they had hoped.

Still, things are not as bleak as they may seem. Out of the Browns three losses, two came by only three points. The Browns have gained more yards and have more first downs than their opponents in two of three contests.

While the Browns will not be seeing Collins and may not be seeing Garrett this week, things are looking up for their week five tilt against the New York Jets. While the Browns may not reach the playoffs this year, there is still a chance for them to turn their season around. Especially if they see the return of two of their defensive stars.
