The FanSided college football experts are back to make their college football predictions for the biggest games of Week 5.

For the second week in a row, I went 3-2. I correctly picked Stanford, Penn State, Georgia, but missed on Florida State and Oklahoma State who were upset by NC State and TCU, respectively. Jack went heavy on upset picks and missed on UCLA, Florida State, Oklahoma State and Mississippi State, but he did get the Penn State pick correct. If not for the touchdown pass as time expired, Jack would have taken a goose egg for the week. We can both do better and we’ll try to get back on track with the best Week 5 games.

We agree on four games and disagree on two. We both like Duke to remain undefeated at home on Friday night. It may be time to consider David Cutcliffe’s team as a legit contender to take their division in the ACC if they pull off this home upset. The Friday night main event with USC traveling to Washington State has all the makings for a potential upset. Weird things happen on Friday nights, it’s a challenging road venue, Luke Falk is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and USC has played down to their competition the first month of the year. Having said all that, we’re both picking Sam Darnold and the Trojans to escape with a win.

We both like Georgia to remain undefeated too with a win over Butch Jones and Tennessee. If the Vols don’t win this game, it could be the final nail in the coffin for the Tennessee head coach after losing to Florida earlier this year. Only a win over Alabama at this point could save his job. One week after beating LSU by 30 points, Mississippi State lost 31-3 to Georgia and looked like a shell of the team that dominated LSU. Maybe LSU just isn’t that good? In any event, it’s hard to buy into the Bulldogs after last week’s performance on the road against the No. 13 team in the country.

Next: 5 teams on upset alert in Week 5

Lastly, we agree on the ABC primetime game with the defending champion Clemson Tigers remaining undefeated with a win over Justin Fuente’s Virginia Tech Hokies. If Clemson does get the win, they could make a serious case to be the No. 1 team over Alabama.

Hopefully, next week we’ll disagree on more games to make things a little more exciting, but let us know what games you agree with us and what games you think we’re off the mark.

Overall Records: Schmidt 14-7, Jorgensen 10-10.
