ESPN’s College GameDay will air live from Blacksburg on Saturday. Who will be the celebrity picker for Clemson and Virginia Tech?

After a week in New York City, ESPN’s College GameDay will be back on hand for the action from a live venue this week. The big game this week is an ACC tilt between the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Clemson Tigers

Both of these undefeated programs are off to great starts and both want to keep those streaks rolling on Saturday night. For Clemson, it’s all about keeping that undefeated streak going as they try to get that top spot in the rankings

For the Hokies, it’s all about getting the biggest upset win of any team this season. Justin Fuente’s program continues to take massive strides and it’s been evident thus far. A win over the Tigers would be an unbelievable stepping stone.

With such an intriguing battle set to take place, it only makes sense that the top college football show takes place. Of course, that means there will be a celebrity picker on hand to make the decision with Lee Corso and the rest of the crew.

For a game in Blacksburg, it’s tough to say who will be the picker. Frank Beamer seems like the obvious choice here. The legendary former coach of Virginia Tech would make a great choice and to have him on set would be a blast. It’s just one of those weeks where it could be anyone, but Beamer seems like the best shot here. After all, it’s a big week and it deserves the best picker possible.

Update 9/30: Former Virginia Tech defensive end, former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick, NFL all-time sack leader and Pro Football Hall of Famer Bruce Smith is the guest picker for College GameDay from Virginia Tech today.
