Welcome to our FanDuel EPL DFS breakdown! We have all the best tips, picks and analysis for the six game main slate for you to cash in FanDuel soccer this weekend!

If you read the column last week I hope you enjoyed your money. You’re welcome. We killed it last week with a host of the column picks – and a handful of last-minute pivots – helping us cash. Many of you racked up some huge totals and finished near the top of the GPP’s! Let’s keep it going this week!

This week’s slate is not as exciting as last week’s and is a little more straight forward. The Chelsea v Man City game dominates the high price options and will be crucial to how you play this slate. Elsewhere it is hard not to like high-flying Manchester United versus rock bottom Crystal Palace. However my favorite game to target on Saturday is Bournemouth v Leicester.

I think you can easily build a good roster way under budget this week. There is lot’s of good value, especially in defense. I will be putting together a line that uses the bulk of the budget and another for GPP that will leave some of the salary on the table.

Make sure to check lineups and hour before the games kick off for late changes. Last week it was crucial to pick the right pivots. I’ll be on Twitter @davidgatesports to chat through lineups on Saturday from 9am EST. Happy to give advice with any surprises on the team sheets.

FanDuel EPL Gameweek 7. Let’s go!

FanDuel EPL Goalkeepers

I like to have a keeper in most of my lines that I’m not worried about. Picking keepers is the least fun thing in DFS so give me one I can trust and let me move on to the interesting picks. My main keeper this week will be David de Gea (5500) who has been in outstanding form. He’s the best keeper in the league (maybe the world) and Palace cannot score. I’ll take his 12-16 FanDuel points and be happy.

If you are looking for some savings at GK then I would think about Fraser Forster (5000). Southampton have 3 clean sheets in 6 games and both of Forster’s huge games came away from home where Southampton play very conservatively.

Want to take a flyer for a big day from one of the cheapest players then I would look at Ederson (4500) and Thibault Courtois (4500) playing against each other in the big match. I lean to the Belgian as he is at home and has the better defense.

Victor Lindelof FanDuel EPL

FanDuel EPL Defenders

I’ve been touting Victor Lindelof (4000) for a few weeks but this is the week. He has yet to start in the Premier League hence his price is only 4k. It looks like Phil Jones will miss this game with injury so Lindelof should get the call. The Man Utd center backs are not very high ceiling for DFS but they are consistent. They average around 16 FanDuel points which at Lindelof’s price is good for 4x value which is what we’re looking for. I also like Scott Dann (6500) to hit value this week.

One player I have not been using but has been surprisingly consistent on a bad team in Pablo Zabaleta (5500). Double figures in every game with a low of 13 and a high of 21 FanDuel Points. You can basically book him in for 3x value and have a good shot for more.

This is a bad week in general for defenders with half of the leagues best attacks missing from the slate. I am generally going safe with defenders. The Watford defenders have been very consistent this year. Jose Holebas (6500) has the offensive upside but you pay up for it. I prefer the value of Kiko Femenia (5500) on the other side and Christian Kabalese (5500) in the middle.

FanDuel EPL Midfielders

Eden Hazard (8000) did not make the starting eleven last week as he comes back from injury meaning for some last-minute pivots to our lineups. He started – and shone -against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League this week. I have to think that this Saturday’s game against Man City is too big to bench him. He is by FAR the best value midfielder in that game.

All the other midfielders in that game are in play as they are all so good. The trouble is I don’t see this being a huge scoring game. That means you gonna have to pick the right guy/guys. So I would have no one-off plays apart form Hazard. Stack City or Chelsea midfields if you want to use them.

I want to target Leicester players this week as they matchup with Bournemouth. Riyad Mahrez (8000) has not done much the last four weeks in DFS but he has faced Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool in that span. He will get way more opportunity to put up points this week. Marc Albrighton (6500) seems to cheap to me in a great matchup. For Bournemouth it was great to see Junior Stanislas (7000) back and he came in with 18 FanDuel points. You can go back to him again this week despite his price bump.

Two midfielders I love in the Stoke v Southampton game are Xherdan Shaqiri (8500) and Mario Lemina (7500). Shaqiri is the heart of that team and will be looking for the win at home. Lemina has been very impressive in the last two weeks and looks to be a solid play who punters might not be onto yet.

FanDuel EPL Forwards

There is going to be a lot of love for Romelu Lukaku (13000) as he has scored in pretty much every game this year. Though at his max price you need him to score twice to exceed value. That makes him a great cash play but I’ll be fading him in most GPP lines.

The other chalky plays will be Aguero (11500), Jesus (11000) and Morata (11000) in the big game. I prefer Morata for sheer volume reasons. He is the lone striker in the Chelsea side while Aguero and Jesus have been sharing that front line.

My favorite forward of the day is Jamie Vardy (9000). He has scored in three games straight and should have had another last week as he missed a penalty too. I’m hoping the forwards mentioned above and his GTD designation lower his ownership. I will have a line that heavily stacks this game and I will pair Vardy with Joshua King (7500) who is now playing centrally again where he did so much damage last season.

After watching what Leroy Sane did to Palace this week I really love Anthony Martial (9000) who also may go a little overlooked with Lukaku on the field and his own GTD designation.

Note: these are sample lineups and are not optimized. The only guarantee I can give you is that I will playing them too. I will also have some lines that are not here.
