The Hawaii Five-0 season 8 premiere introduces a new cast member to replace Grace Park. Here’s how you can watch season 8, episode 1 live, on TV and online.

Hawaii Five-0 season 8 begins Friday without Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim, but the premiere of the CBS show introduces a new female lead for Steve McGarrett’s task force.

Season 8, episode 1 is called “‘A’ole e ‘olelo mai ana ke ahi ua ana ia,” which means “Fire will never say that it has had enough.” The episode sees McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) recruit Tani Rey (played by Meghan Rath, who starred as Sally in SyFy’s US version of Being Human) to join Five-0.

Tani’s first case with McGarrett and company involves dispatching computer hacker Aaron Wright (guest star Joey Lawrence) and stopping the arsonist Aaron released from prison.

As if adding a new lead wasn’t enough, the Hawaii Five-0 season 8 opener also features a return guest spot by MMA legend Randy Couture and an animated version of McGarrett and Danny’s (Scott Caan) now infamous car arguments.

The cast may be changing on Hawaii Five-0, but the show itself certainly isn’t slowing down in Hawaii Five-0 season 8. It’s a jam-packed season 8 premiere, and you’ll want to see how it all unfolds, if only to see Joey Lawrence in a rare dramatic role. Who thought the guy from Melissa & Joey would cross Steve McGarrett?
