Dortmund dropped their second straight Champions League game, losing 3-1 to Real Madrid. Manager Peter Bosz was criticized for his gameplan against Madrid. For the second straight game, Dortmund allowed three goals in the Champions League. However, domestically, Dortmund have looked incredible and could end Bayern Munich’s run of five straight championships. Defensively, Dortmund have allowed only one goal and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the Bundesliga with eight goals this season, including two hat-tricks. After not starting against Madrid, American teenager sensation Christian Pulisic will likely return to the starting lineup. Bosz has opted to start Andrey Yarmolenko in Champions League and have Pulisic come off the bench.
