Trevor Siemian $5200 vs. Oakland Raiders

There are six defenses around the NFL who have yet to register an interception. The Oakland Raiders are on that list. The defensive woes of this team from last season have followed them into 2017.

Trevor Siemian, DraftKings 22nd-ranked quarterback, has been a much improved player this season. He ranks in the top ten in both yards and touchdowns.

The first two weeks of the season, the young signal caller excelled while playing in Denver. No surprise that his worst game, in Week 3 came on the road. Siemian at home has six touchdowns and only two interceptions for a QBR of almost 107. This week they welcome the Raiders to Mile High.

Oakland is the fourth-friendliest defense to opposing quarterbacks. The unit averages 20.46 points per game for quarterbacks. Those stats are concerning because they’ve faced the 15th-most pass attempts in the league. The Raiders only hope is to get a pass rush and force bad decisions. However, even with Dallas constantly pressuring Siemian, he made plays and showed some underrated athleticism.

At a price tag well below the top-shelf quarterbacks, he could allow you to splurge at other positions like running back or wide receivers.

Runner up: Jay Cutler $5800 vs New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are one of the youngest defenses in league history based on average age of starters in Week 1. That youth surprised Cam Newton and Carolina in Week 3. New Orleans is more likely what they showed in the first two weeks rather than what we saw in Week 3.

They welcome the Jay Cutler-led Dolphins this week. After a no-show performance against the Jets, I see the team bouncing back against the Saints.

There is too much talent around Cutler for them to put up another dud. Jarvis Landry and DeVante Parker outside with Jay Ajayi running the ball, allows for a balanced attack.

Even after New Orlean’s performance last week, they still allow the second-most points to opposing quarterbacks per game, trailing only the Patriots. They’re tied for the third-most touchdowns given up. Finally, they’ve given up the second-most yards to opponents.

This matchup is prime for Cutler and the Dolphins to bounce back. The Saints will also return to where their talent better represents their defense.

Cutler is DraftKings 16th-ranked quarterback. Beware that this game is in London so if you are playing in a contest that excludes the early morning game, look elsewhere.
