In one of the last games of Week 5, we’ve got Mountain West matchup on our hands out in Las Vegas. Kickoff at 10:30 p.m. ET at Sam Boyd Stadium in Sin City will be the San José State Spartans (1-4) and the UNLV Rebels (1-2). ESPN U will have the telecast. San José State enters play at 1-4 (0-1) on the year. The Spartans’ lone win came against the Cal Poly Mustangs. San José State has dropped games to the ranked South Florida Bulls, the Texas Longhorns, the Utah Utes and its first conference game to the Utah State Aggies. It doesn’t look promising for San José State to be going bowling this year.
UNLV enters play at 1-2 on the season. This will be the Rebels’ first conference game of the season. Their lone win this season was against the Idaho Vandals up in Moscow. Keep in mind that the Rebels lost an embarrassing home game to the Howard Bison in Week 1. The Rebels’ other loss was in the horseshoe to the ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.
