We’ve got a SEC East rivalry game on tap for Week 5 of the 2017 college football season. One that will be going on down in The Swamp will be between the Florida Gators (2-1) and the Vanderbilt Commodores (3-1).
Kickoff from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville will be at 12:00 p.m. ET on September 30. ESPN will have the broadcast. The available live streams can be found on WatchESPN and on FuboTV.
Vanderbilt enters play at 3-1 (0-1) on the year. While the Commodores had a big win in Week 3 over the ranked Kansas State Wildcats, they were absolutely buzz sawed by the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide in Vanderbilt Stadium in Week 4. Vanderbilt is probably a bowl team, but that was a rough 59-0 loss at home for the ‘Dores.
Florida enters play at 2-1 (2-0) on the season. While the Gators look lost against the ranked Michigan Wolverines in their neutral-site opener in Arlington, Florida has since bounced back with a pair of SEC East wins. Though Florida had its Week 2 game against Northern Colorado canceled due to Hurricane Irma, Gator Nation should be happy with wins over the Tennessee Volunteers and the Kentucky Wildcats in SEC play.

Florida seems to have found itself but has a long way to go from being a serious SEC Championship contender. The Gators have a solid defense but remain very much a work in progress offensively.
Vanderbilt has a great defense, even after getting obliterated at home by Alabama. The Commodores have been inconsistent on offense. It may not sink them enough to miss out on a bowl, but it will probably prevent them from going to Atlanta for its first trip to the SEC Championship.
