10. Mariota shows off the wheels
Marcus Mariota is one of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the NFL and his ability to beat defenders on the run is a big reason why. Mariota’s dual threat ability is one that’s hard to find in today’s NFL. He showed off the wheels today running in this 34-yard touchdown early in the second quarter against the Texans. It was one of Mariota’s two touchdowns on the ground today.
Unfortunately, those two touchdowns were the only points the Titans could muster up on the day. DeShaun Watson and the Texans absolutely dominated the game, putting up 57 points in convincing fashion. A Titans team that came off an impressive win over the Seahawks got trounced the entire game. But not all is lost, especially when you’ve got Mariota under center.
Incredible catch, @Teco_Raww! 👀#InBrotherhood #BUFvsATL https://t.co/W84ZVxyvIs

9. Tevin Coleman with the hands
A lot of the Falcon’s offensive success comes through running back Devonta Freeman, but don’t forget about Tevin Coleman. The third-year back isn’t the fierce downhill runner Freeman is, but he’s a shifty back that’s a threat in the receiving game. He’s got hands like a wide receiver and those were on display with this impressive catch.
Matt Ryan found Coleman on a wheel route as the running back reached out and held on to the ball. It was great coverage by linebacker Lorenzo Alexander, but better offense won in this case. You can see Bills coach Sean McDermott waving his hands for the incomplete pass and even he couldn’t believe that Coleman held on to the ball.
The Falcons weren’t able to come away with the win at home, but the one-two combination of Freeman and Coleman is a dangerous one.
