Here’s the bad news: We’re through five weeks of the 2017 college football season already. But, here’s some good news: the post-Week 5 projections for the AP Top 25 heading into Week 6 are here for your enjoyment.

Week 5 didn’t have a ton of excitement on Saturday in college football, but Friday brought one of the best games of the season in the form of Washington State beating USC at home in Pullman.

The game was mostly great because of Mike Leach’s post-game interview with ESPN and comparing Wazzu fans rushing the field to Woodstock, but the fact remains that the game was good.

Across the nation in other games, Alabama is still Alabama after a 66-3 annihilation of Ole Miss in Tuscaloosa. Clemson picked another huge road conference victory against Virginia Tech. Penn State still looks like the odds-on favorite to win the Big Ten and Texas is back, folks. Maybe. We think.

Anyway, the college football season is almost halfway over and that’s not good. There’s never enough weeks in the year of Iowa punting 12 times in one game and #Pac12AfterDark being the best entertainment that’s not a 2 Chainz concert.

That being said, let’s get the post-Week 5 Top 25 projections off and going, shall we? No, Tennessee. You did not make this week’s projections.
