1. Mike Leach on Washington State fans’ celebrating

Mike Leach is probably the most interesting head coach in college football. He’s smart, a little socially awkward and has quirky sayings and quotes that college football fans love. He’s not the kind of coach who will settle for cliches and coach-speak, and that’s refreshing these days.

Not only is he full of interesting stories and different takes on the game, but he isn’t afraid to throw party references into his interviews, here and there.

That was clear after his Washington State Cougars pulled off the upset over then-No. 5 USC in Pullman. During an interview with Sportscenter following the win, he was asked what the atmosphere in Pullman was like with the fans rushing the field. His response was legendary.

Leach is always keeping things interesting and his players have to love his attitude as well. Heck, the Cougars are undefeated right now and jumped to No. 11 in the country. They are feeding off the positive, quirky energy that Leach exudes and you have to think he’s chocked full of quotes like this Woodstock one.
