On Sunday at MetLife Stadium, the New York Jets defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in overtime. What did we learn from this Week 4 tilt?

When the Jacksonville Jaguars headed north to face the New York Jets on Sunday, it was a clash of 2016 last-place teams that weren’t expected to do much this season.

With a win, the Jags would tie last season’s victory total in just four weeks.

But it wasn’t meant to be as the Green and White made it two straight wins via a 23-20 overtime triumph.

Three Stars

1. Bilal Powell

A big part of his 163 rushing yards came on that 75-yard touchdown run. Powell finished with 190 yards from scrimmage thanks to that production on the ground via 21 carries to go along with 27 yards on four catches. Powell helped the Jets run for 256 yards against the Jacksonville defense.

2. Leonard Fournette

The impressive rookie played well in a losing effort. Fournette ran for 86 yards on 24 attempts and added 59 yards and a touchdown on four receptions.

3. Chandler Catanzaro

Not welcome back in Arizona, the young specialist has been far from perfect. But he connected on two PATs and successfully converted field goal attempts of 45, 26 and 41 yards. That final kick came in the closing minute of overtime and gave the Jets a three-point victory.

Odds

So much for the Jaguars being a road favorite as the club came up short in overtime after the line opened with the team at plus-3. Jacksonville has been an unpredictable wagering proposition to date this season.

Next Week

The Jacksonville Jaguars are once again on the road as they prepare for a date with the Pittsburgh Steelers. On the other hand, the New York Jets look to get over .500 after that rough 0-2 start as they travel to face the Cleveland Browns.
