The Gifted season 1 premiere synopsis: eXposed
What can Marvel fans expect Monday in The Gifted series premiere? Here’s the official synopsis for The Gifted season 1, episode 1.
The Marvel TV universe expands Monday when FOX airs The Gifted series premiere, and The Gifted season 1 is going to hit the ground running based on the synopsis for the first episode.
Season 1, episode 1 is called “eXposed” because that’s when an ordinary couple (played by True Blood‘s Stephen Moyer and Person of Interest‘s Amy Acker) discover that their teenage kids are mutants. The problem is that the federal government discovers that, too, and leads a group of Sentinel Services officers led by Jace Turner (Burn Notice‘s Coby Bell) to find and take the kids.
But nobody’s going down without a fight, so The Gifted season 1 follows this family not only as they become fugitives to protect themselves, but as they realize that they’re part of a larger fight for survival. We’ll watch them step up to the plate for the better of all mutants, but will they be able to overcome everything the government can throw in their way? It’s an uphill battle, but it will also be a lot of fun to watch.

Here’s how FOX officially describes the episode:
"Set in the “X-Men” universe, family adventure series The Gifted tells the emotional story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their teenage children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family seeks help from an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive."
