3. Oklahoma State vs. West Virginia

The Pokes and Mountaineers’ looming showdown in Week 9 should prove to be one of the most fun games of the year. Both offenses have been absolutely prodigious and entertaining to watch this season. The games between the two, since WVU joined the Big 12 in 2012, have always seen the scoreboard be lit up.

57, 59, 44, 51 and 89 have been the totals in the last five games between the Cowboys and ‘Neers. The margin of victory has been 17 or more in three such occasions, so this series has been a bit short on drama. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean there won’t be drama this time around.

There’s a lot of time now until Oct. 28, when these two teams are set to meet. Both teams have winnable games in front of them though that should allow this game to have plenty of stakes. The Pokes have Baylor and Texas in front of them, while WVU also has Baylor as well as Texas Tech.

Assuming they handle their business, for the most part, the month of October will be concluding with a very intriguing game. Oklahoma State’s push for the Playoff could be on the line if Oklahoma and the other remaining unbeaten teams keep winning. So WVU could play the role of spoiler in Morgantown if all goes well.
