Week 5 of the college football season is in the books but recruiting never stops. Let’s take a look at the updated recruiting rankings.
Another week of college football action is in the books and we saw teams like Alabama and Auburn dominate on the gridiron in Week 5, but are they dominating in the recruiting landscape for 2018?
It’s easy to look at recruiting rankings and say that certain teams are faring much better so far with the current class, but Alabama is going to finish in the top 10. Right now, the Tide’s class is small, but it will land some blue-chip recruits closer to National Signing Day. Which teams rank in the top 10, though, for 2018 recruiting?
Let’s check out the 247Sports top 10 rankings after the fifth week of action:
- Ohio State: 18 commits
- Texas: 18 commits
- Penn State: 23 commits
- Miami: 19 commits
- Oregon: 22 commits
- Tennessee: 23 commits
- Florida:17 commits
- Notre Dame: 16 commits
- Oklahoma: 19 commits
- UCLA: 23 commits
No change here for another week. Since the first couple of weeks of the 2017 season, the composite rankings on 247Sports have remained constant. Some recruits are still waiting to take their officials to these top-tier programs, so these rankings will get a good shuffle soon.
Were there any changes in the ESPN recruiting rankings? Let’s find out. Now, here’s a look at the ESPN rankings after Week 5:
- Ohio State
- Texas
- Penn State
- Miami
- Tennessee
- Oregon
- Florida
- Florida State: 18 commits
- Oklahoma
- LSU: 19 commits
Again, everything stayed the same.
