It’s hard to believe it’s already October and MLB playoffs time, but here’s when the AL and NL Wild Card games are on.
What a season it’s been for Major League Baseball. There have been teams have made a push for the postseason for the first time in years and the AL and NL Wild Card games are proof of that.
After losing 103 games last season, the Minnesota Twins have found a way to hold onto a Wild Card spot despite no one around the league giving them a chance. Everyone assumed that Minnesota’s hot start to the season was a fluke, but they have held on to that second spot and will face off against the New York Yankees.
The Yankees, on the other hand, have been trying to gain ground on the Boston Red Sox all season long, but came just short of that AL East crown. They are loaded with talent and many believe they could make a run at the World Series, but the Twins won’t go down easily.

On the National League side of things, the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks both came out of the West. The Los Angeles Dodgers ran away with the division, which is shocking seeing as Arizona won over 90 games. These two teams will slug it out for a chance to face the Dodgers.
When will both the MLB playoffs’ AL and NL Wild Card games be played?
AL Wild Card: Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. ET in New York
NL Wild Card: Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET in Arizona
Both games should be enticing as fans will see four young organizations battling it out for a chance to face each league’s best regular season team.
