College Football Picks Against The Spread October 3-6, 2017

My college football pick em points were down to 41 this week, my lowest total of the season. However, I think I did better against the spread. I haven’t finished all of the college football from last weekend yet, so stay tuned for my results against the spread later in the week. If there is a significant change in any of these lines, I will update them before game time.

More from College Football Odds

For those of you that are new here, I put myself out there every week. For the last six years, I have picked every single college football game. Sounds easy, right? I thought so too. So I have picked them all against the spread. That significantly increases the degree of difficulty.

I take the average of the odds from the six major Vegas casinos and round that to the nearest half point. There will be no ties here. Ties are for the other football.

Some site will sell you top ten picks for a fee. Some will even give you a couple of free picks to lure you in. This is every game picked, all for free.

This contains the picks for FBS vs. FBS games only. It is too hard to get an accurate spread on games that involve 1-AA teams.

I will assign a point value “bet” on each game, between one and five points. That way you can see just how confident I am in each pick. Look for those at the end of each line. I am 27 points to the good this year, but am still paying last year’s debt.

I cannot be responsible for you losing any of your worldly possessions, significant others, or limbs to a loan shark. This is for entertainment purposes only! I am a simple person. I cannot have that on my conscience.

We have 58 games this weekend, and 57 of those contain FBS vs. FBS matchups. Indiana is the only one stepping out this weekend.

Four of those 57 take place prior to Saturday’s smorgasbord of football. We have our first Wednesday game of the season this week. Let’s get to the early picks!

Arkansas State(-7.5) at Georgia Southern(3): I definitely trust Justice Hansen more than any other player on the field. Give me the Red Wolves.

(17)Louisville(-3.5) at (24)North Carolina State(3): Lamar Jackson racked up 355 yards passing, 76 yards rushing, and four total touchdowns without a turnover in last year’s rout of the Wolfpack. I tend to think that NC State is better this year, but not that much better. I still don’t really see them having an answer for Jackson. I’ll take Louisville.

Memphis(-13.5) at Connecticut(3): That loss to UCF was a tough one for the Tigers. Now they have to go on the road again. That said, UCF could win ten games this year. That wasn’t a bad loss. Memphis is still light years ahead of UConn. I’ll take Memphis.

Boise State(-8.5) at BYU(2): Man, the Cougars have been awful this year. True, they have played some tough teams, but I don’t see Utah State being any better than Boise. I feel another loss coming for the Cougars here. the only question is how much. At least double digits. I’ll take Boise.
