Kansas City is the consensus best team in the NFL after four weeks. Will the Chiefs finally end their Super Bowl drought?
Alex Smith is still the quarterback in Kansas City. He once helped push the San Francisco 49ers close to the promised land and is now trying to do the same in Kansas City. Game-manager Smith needs elite talent around him to get it done. Tyreke Hill, Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt and company might just do the trick. The Chiefs championship drought dates back to Super Bowl IV, the year the Beatles disbanded.
New England is trying to figure out how to stop anyone. Chicago has made a quarterback change, making General Manager Ryan Pace’s decision to sign Mike Glennon for 45 million, a decided failure. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams are 3-1. Kayla is remembering some of the good times, when she worked alongside the Rams in St. Louis.
Changes to the NBA All-Star game. The league gets an A- for this change with the top vote getters from each conference picking their own team. The minus comes from not just taking the two top vote getters period. Preseason basketball is already here and the opener is right around the corner October 17.
“Sex and the City” will not have a third movie after all. Very disappointing that Kim Catrell, aka Samantha, couldn’t get on board no matter what the reason was.
The world or rock and roll lost one of its greatest voices and musicians. They simply do not make them better than Tom Petty. We end the show with our own musical tribute.
Carm and Kayla comes out every Wednesday afternoon at 2 PM CT. You can follow the show @CarmAndKayla or individually @thecarm or @kaylaknierim.
