After another winning week with best bets in Week 4, let’s turn the page to see what the five best bets are for Week 5 of the 2017 NFL season.

We’re coming off yet another winning week with best bets in the NFL. Week 4 was chock full of upsets and an unnecessary touchdown by the Kansas City Chiefs that cost us a game where the Washington Redskins would have covered. Thanks a lot, Andy Reid!

Anyway, I went 3-2 with best bets last week The Buffalo Bills upset the Atlanta Falcons when Buffalo was getting 7.5 points. Buffalo looks to be legit at 3-1. The Bills are alone atop the AFC East standings. Who outside of Bills Mafia saw that coming?

Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans pulverized the division rival Tennessee Titans while they were getting 1.5 points at home at NRG Stadium. Houston doesn’t have a quarterback problem anymore. The rise of Watson has brought an end to the Tom Savage Garden. What a bountiful harvest of points the Texans had on Sunday!

Of course, the last win of the week was the Los Angeles Rams upsetting them Dallas Cowboys while getting 8.5 points. It doesn’t matter if Rams quarterback Jared Goff is not an astronomer, he can run this Sean McVay offense marvelous.

Our two losses against the week are courtesy of Reid rubbing it in on the Redskins on Monday night and Sir Blake Bortles falling to the New York Jets in overtime. Who saw Alex Smith as your first quarter NFL MVP and the Jets looking pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good at 2-2.

Let’s keep the winning streak alive. I am 12-7-1 on the year. Here are the five best bets for Week 5 of the NFL season. Keep in mind that four teams are on their bye week. A harder slate to choose from for sure. All point spreads are courtesy of SportsBook Review.

Jacksonville Jaguars (+10) at Pittsburgh Steelers

Call me crazy, but we’re talking the Jaguars getting 10 points on the road versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Is Jacksonville going to win this game? No, but I don’t trust the Steelers offense enough just yet to beat the Jaguars by more than a touchdown.

Jacksonville is very much a defense-first team and Pittsburgh is supposedly elite offensively. Well, that might just be last year’s Steelers. Has Ben Roethlisberger hit the proverbial wall? That might be the case. Either way, his team is too undisciplined to not get away with poor offensive execution on a series.

Look for Calais Campbell, Jalen Ramsey and company to get a defensive touchdown to keep Bortles and the boys in this game with the Steelers late. For a minute there, this will feel like one of those great late 1990s AFC Central games we used to love. The only problem is Mark Brunnel is not the quarterback for the Jaguars.

Pittsburgh will improve to 4-1, but won’t have beaten anybody impressive. The AFC North is the worst division in football. Jacksonville is far from a complete team offensively. Even the once-promising Minnesota Vikings are without two important offensive weapons. Pittsburgh might win by as many as eight points, but the Jaguars find a way to cover the double-digit spread.
