It took until Week 5 of the 2017 NFL season, but first overall pick Myles Garrett will make his pro debut this Sunday against the Jets.

If the NFL season ended tomorrow, the Cleveland Browns would have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. On Sunday, the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft will get his first taste of regular season action, as Browns defensive end Myles Garrett will be active for the game. The team plans to use him on a bit of a pitch-count, but it will be good for the home fans to see their latest top pick in action.

The Los Angeles Chargers could have won their first two games of the season, but big misses by rookie kicker Younghoe Koo sent them to a 0-2 record. They have not won a game yet this season, sitting at 0-4, and now Koo is out of a job. The Chargers released Koo on Thursday and signed Nick Novak to take over kicking duties starting in Week 5.

Cam Newton made one of the more bonehead statements I have ever heard to a reporter on Wednesday, and the world certainly took notice. For his comments, Newton lost a ton of fans, and even some sponsors, and is now trying to fix his image. He issued a video apology on Thursday but you have to believe the damage is done at this point.

The Oakland Raiders will play host to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, and it looks like E.J. Manuel will be under center as they try to erase their two-game losing streak. While Derek Carr practiced on Thursday, he is definitely ruled out, giving the former Buffalo Bills starter the chance to lead the team. He has drawn rave reviews from his new teammates, and against a porous Baltimore Ravens team, he may be able to grab the win.

It took until the final play, but the New England Patriots were able to pull out the victory on Thursday Night Football. Playing without tight end Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots actually won this game due to their defense, who held Jameis Winston in check all game long. The Buccaneers were terrible on third down, but the real problem for Tampa Bay was their kicker Nick Folk, who missed all three of his field goal attempts in a 19-14 loss.

Finally, the Sunday Night Football matchup should be a great one in Week 5. Rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson has done an amazing job under center since taking over for Tom Savage and even was responsible for five touchdowns last weekend against Tennessee. He will face his toughest competition on Sunday night, as the Houston Texans welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to town in an incredible AFC matchup.
