We’re getting ready to see the visiting Tennessee Titans take on the struggling Miami Dolphins. Which team will prevail in this contest?
Were but for a missed field goal in Los Angeles back in Week 2, the Miami Dolphins would be staring at a 0-3 record and a little bit of a hole dug within the AFC East. Nonetheless, the ‘Fins are the only team in their division that entered Week 5 with a losing record.
Veteran quarterback Jay Cutler and the offense has struggled and that’s an understatement. If not for a touchdown on the final play of the game in a Week 3 loss to the Jets (20-6), Adam Gase’s club would be looking at back-to-back shutouts.
Of course, when you’re getting ready to host a Tennessee Titans’ team that gave up 57 points last week in a loss at Houston, you have to feel a little better about getting your attack untracked.

Line: Titans (-1)

Due to the uncertainty regarding the availability of Mariota, the game between the Titans and Dolphins was off the board. Early in the week, Tennessee was installed as a 1-point favorite (via SportsBook Review).

The Tennessee Titans did address their defense this offseason both via free agency as well as the draft. But we simply haven’t seen the results to date. Yes, getting 57 points hung on you in one afternoon makes the numbers somewhat skewed. Simply put, Dick LeBeau’s unit has not answered the bell to date. And that’s a welcome sight to the Miami Dolphins and their struggling offense. It’s been a long time since Gase’s team has actually played a game in front of its own fans. They’ll reward the South Florida faithful with a victory here.
Pick: Dolphins 23, Titans 21
