The USA face Panama on Friday, Oct. 6 from Orlando City Stadium in World Cup Qualifying. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

In World Cup Qualifying for Russia in 2018, the USA have undoubtedly put themselves in a tough position. With a loss on home ground to Costa Rica and a draw in Honduras, they now sit in fourth in the CONCACAF Hexagonal table. There’s still a chance, however, with their two final qualifiers. Those begin on Friday, Oct. 6 as the United States take on Panama in Orlando, FL.

Bruce Arena’s USA looked outmatched and out-coached in their last pair of qualifiers. Star 19-year old Christian Pulisic was held in check in both matches, but he’ll be their biggest weapon. He’s been a sensation as one of the brightest young stars in the history of American soccer, having backed it up with five goals and as many assists in WCQ matches. However, Geoff Cameron and the defense could be even more critical to earning points.

Panama, meanwhile, sit immediately ahead of the United States in the Hex standings with 10 points. They held the USA to a 1-1 draw the first time they met with Gabriel Gómez netting the equalizer just four minutes after the Americans scored. They’ll be looking for star 24-year old Miguel Carmago to control the action in the midfield, especially in an attacking sense. Also, forward Gabriel Torres will be hoping to find net.

Again, the USMNT sit with nine points at this point. However, even a draw would be big for them on Friday as it would put them into third with a match against last place Trinidad and Tobago looming to finish off their play.

We’re getting down to the wire for the USMNT to solidify a spot for 2018 and getting points in this game against Panama is critical to making that happen. If they’re unable to secure any points, that could well spell their doom and take the USA out of Russia.
