Allen Lazard made this insane catch late as Iowa State is stunning Oklahoma on the road.

You can pick all the upsets you want heading into a college football week, but not many of you probably picked Iowa State to compete with Oklahoma on the road, much less push their backs to the wall on the brink of an upset. But that’s exactly what the Cyclones are doing on Saturday in Norman, and this Allen Lazard touchdown catch is the perfect example of just how badly Iowa State wants this one.

Late in the fourth quarter after Oklahoma tied the game with Iowa State, the Cyclones got the ball back and drove the field. The drive ended with Iowa State stunningly going back on top after Lazard made his insane catch in the end zone for the score off a ball thrown by backup quarterback Kyle Kempt.

Not only was this one of the best catches of the day on Saturday but this was one of the best catches of the year in college football. Most players probably don’t come down with this catch, but Lazard of Iowa State is one of the best receivers in the country that you don’t know about, so he’s a little different in that respect.

You might not have known who Lazard was before this catch was made against one of the best teams in the country, but after it, you’ll definitely be seeing his name all over the place now.

We could be on the cusp, after this catch, of one of the biggest upsets in college football all year.
