The Kansas State Wildcats face the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, Oct. 7 in college football, and here’s all the info you need to watch.
Tom Herman’s tenure with the Texas Longhorns didn’t get off to the best of starts. He lost his opener and it felt like the same cycle was about to repeat in Austin. However, they’ve been much more impressive in the three games since. Now they’ll hope to keep that going with a big Big 12 battle against the Kansas State Wildcats.
Shane Buechele returned to action last week for Texas, leading them over Iowa State after not being the guy in the overtime loss to USC. However, the big key for the Longhorns could be getting running back Chris Warren III going to keep balance on offense.
The Longhorns defense will be tested by Kansas State and quarterback Jesse Ertz. Bill Snyder’s Wildcats always have a bruising quarterback that can both run and throw and Ertz may be one of the best passers he’s had in that mold. They’re capable of knocking off anyone and will give Texas a tough game start to finish.

What looked like would be a long season for Texas has certainly turned for the better since their opener. However, they’re facing another tough matchup against Kansas State. It’ll be interesting to see if Herman can pick up the big win at home.
