Here’s how you can watch Saturday afternoon’s Big Ten conference matchup between the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Purdue Boilermakers.

Two first-year Big Ten head coaches will be on the sidelines Saturday afternoon, as P.J. Fleck’s Minnesota Golden Gophers will “row the boat” all the way to West Lafayette to take on Jeff Brohm’s Purdue Boilermakers. Minnesota (3-1) is coming of a disappointing home loss to Maryland and their third-string quarterback last week, while Purdue (2-2) was off last week after a loss to Michigan the previous Saturday.

The Boilermakers were competitive in losses to Louisville (35-28) and Michigan (28-10), while beating Ohio and Missouri by a combined score of 79-24 in between. The Gophers are somewhere in between those four opponents talent-wise, but they also lost to a Maryland team that probably isn’t as good as Purdue.

Along with Wisconsin-Nebraska and Illinois-Iowa, Minnesota-Purdue is another matchup within the Big Ten West this week. Some early separation within the division could come, or things could tighten up if results break a certain way. Either way, Minnesota and Purdue could both use a win to keep pace and also avoid falling to 0-2 in conference play.
