3 potential losses ahead for the TCU Horned Frogs
By Jack Crosby
The TCU Horned Frogs may be the best team in the Big 12 right now, but they’re not exactly home free the rest of the way this season.
They weren’t really mentioned as one of the Big 12 favorites prior to the season starting — those nods went to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State — but in Week 6 of the college football season, you can definitely make the case for the TCU Horned Frogs being the best in the conference. Saturday at home in Fort Worth, they moved to 5-0 on the year with a win over another ranked opponent in the West Virginia Mountaineers, and now are firmly in the driver’s seat to finish with the Big 12 crown and potentially an undefeated season.
As it pertains to that undefeated season, however, that is anything but a given, because there are some chances for a slip-up or two along the way coming up.
At Kansas State – Next week
We might not have to wait long to see the Horned Frogs potentially suffer their first loss of the year, as the next game following this win over West Virginia is no easy task. Next week head coach Gary Patterson has to take his team on the road to Manhattan to face off against the Kansas State Wildcats.
Throughout his illustrious coaching career, Kansas State’s Bill Snyder has shown a penchant for matching his squads up with the big boys when he has to, and you know he will have his men ready next week.
TCU going into Manhattan next Saturday and coming away with the win, especially against Snyder and company, is no given by any means whatsoever.
