At Texas Tech – Nov. 18

Now should TCU go into Norman against Oklahoma and come out with the win and remain undefeated, they’re far from out of the woods at that point in the year. As a matter of fact, if they escape the Sooners and their record remains unblemished, they then have to pack their bags and head to Lubbock to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Does Texas Tech have a better team overall than TCU? Absolutely, not … not by any means. But what head coach Kliff Kingsbury does have, once again, is a high-powered offense that can give anyone fits on any given Saturday, which always puts top teams on the biggest of upset alerts.

Gary Patterson has a solid defense once again, but as we saw against Oklahoma State and West Virginia, they’re not invincible at all. This is a unit that can be given fits, and if anyone can make Patterson try to eat his visor, it’s Kingsbury and his offense.

With the season coming to a close at that point and TCU potentially feeling comfortable about a College Football Playoff spot, a trip to Lubbock after a big game against Oklahoma could catch them napping.
