10 WR sleepers to target for fantasy football week 5
9. Mike Wallace
One of this years sleeper picks and a player who many targeted later on in drafts was Mike Wallace, but so far he’s been an unbelievable disappointment and only has nine catches for 76 yards and a touchdown on the season.
However, the important thing is that six of them and 55 of the yards (as well as the score) all came last week, when it looked like Joe Flacco was starting to feel more comfortable throwing his way. Wallace saw 10 targets while leading receiver on the season, Jeremy Maclin, only saw six targets for three catches on the day.
Maclin has been participating in practice all week but is still listed as questionable for this weekend’s game with a hand injury. The Ravens will be taking off the Oakland Raiders, who will most likely be without Derek Carr and this is a chance for Baltimore to get back on track after two straight losses.
While Joe Flacco has been one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the NFL this season, he started to get things going a little bit more last week with 31 completions for 235 yards and a touchdown (albeit with a couple of picks). Look for this connection to continue this weekend against a 19th-ranked Oakland Raiders pass defense.
