The New York Yankees look to stay alive against the 2-0 Cleveland Indians. Here’s everything you need to know to watch Game 3 of the ALDS on TV and online.
It’s a must-win scenario for the New York Yankees as they face off against the Cleveland Indians on Sunday, October 8 in Game 3 of the American League Division Series. Game 3 will take place within the friendly confines of Yankees Stadium, and the Yankees hope that being on their home turf will make a difference as they find themselves down two games to the Indians in a best of five series.
The Cleveland Indians stunned the Yankees on Friday night after rallying back from a five run deficit to overtake New York 9-8 in extra innings and taking a 2-0 lead in the series. The Indians got a boost from Francisco Lindor’s grand slam, which narrowed the gap for the Indians but wasn’t without controversy when Yankees manager Joe Girardi failed to call for a review of a call that Cleveland’s Lonnie Chisenhall had been hit by a pitch. Chisenhall loaded the bases for Lindor’s grand slam, which would prove catastrophic for New York.
On the mound for New York is Masahiro Tanaka (RHP, 13-12, 4.74 ERA, 194K), who will face off against the Indians’ Carlos Carrasco (RHP, 18-6, 3.29 ERA, 226K).
