Shane McMahon defied all logic and leaped off the top of the cell against Kevin Owens at WWE Hell in a Cell on Sunday night.

A bitter feud has culminated with one of the craziest moments in Hell in a Cell history on Sunday night. As Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens battled in an intense, personal bout inside the cell in Detroit, McMahon went for the home run to close the show.

After McMahon had already sent Owens crashing through a table from halfway up the cell, he decided he was going to go for the home run. The commissioner of SmackDown Live would place Owens on the middle announce table and climb the cell once more.

As he stood 20 feet high in the air, McMahon said one final prayer and leaped off the top of the cell. As McMahon flew down, Owens was pulled off the announce table by none other than Sami Zayn.

While Owens receiving help from the unlikeliest of allies was shocking, McMahon went crashing through a table and was rushed to by medical personnel. Owens would be helped by his rival and his lifeless body would be thrown over the commissioner for the win.

This isn’t the first time that McMahon has leaped off the cell before, but this one felt more personal than the rest. The two had spent a good portion of the match and there was always that feeling something bad was going to happen. Once they went halfway off the first time, it felt as if it was over.

Instead, McMahon decided to go for it all and ended up missing as a result of interference. He would be stretchered out of the arena as the sold-out crowd in Detroit looked upon with stunned silence.
