Week 6 of the 2017 NFL season is on the docket this weekend. Here are the five best bets against the spread heading into this sixth week of NFL action.

We’ve made it through the first five weeks of the 2017 NFL season. Teams are doing all sorts of things on the gridiron. If you’re a Kansas City Chiefs fan, you have to be thrilled being 5-0. However, if you cheer for the New York Giants, you have to feel horrible about being 0-5 with Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall out for the season with injuries.

But football is a game of attrition, so we’ll move on and focus our attention at this week’s lines. Last week, I went 3-2 to improve to 15-9-1 on the season. It came down to a thrilling finish by Aaron Rodgers to lift the Green Bay Packers over the Dallas Cowboys. So here’s to four straight winning weeks!

Taking the Jacksonville Jaguars getting 10 points might have been the best pick of the year for me. The Jaguars humiliated the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Ben Roethlisberger pickapalooza. Man, Jalen Ramsey is a special player, isn’t he? The Baltimore Ravens pushed around the Oakland Raiders in the Bay Area to pull off the upset of the Silver and Black.

Not getting it done for me were the Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles Rams. Those two teams had been very, very good to me in the early part of the season. The Bills Kool-Aid had me thinking they’d cover the 2.5-point spread in Cincinnati. Oh well, whatever, never mind. If the Rams knew what they were doing in the red zone, maybe they would have beaten the Seattle Seahawks at home?

But that was last week and let’s move on. Here are the five best bets against the spread heading into Week 6. All point spreads are courtesy of SportsBook Review.

5. Atlanta Falcons (-12.5) vs. Miami Dolphins

Can’t believe I’m doing this. I’m all about getting points, but there’s no hope whatsoever for the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. None. Like this could be your lock of the week if you play in a knockout league. The Atlanta Falcons will win on Sunday afternoon in Week 6 over the Dolphins.

Swallowing 12.5 points is really hard to do, but Atlanta might beat the Dolphins by three touchdowns. Atlanta is coming off a bye and a loss in its previous game versus the Buffalo Bills. The Falcons are well-rested and a bit angry.

Miami outlasted the Tennessee Titans in a slog of a game no one wanted to play in. Jay Cutler has not been the answer at quarterback head coach Adam Gase was hoping for. Not having a bye the rest of the way is brutal for the Dolphins. Let’s not forget that their offensive line coach just resigned in the midst of a scandal involving a white powdery substance.

Atlanta may not have Mohamed Sanu back for this game, but the Falcons will carve up the lackluster Dolphins secondary. Miami’s back-seven stands no chance at containing Matt Ryan and the Falcons aerial assault. Watch this come back to bite me, but Atlanta should win by two touchdowns easily.
