Carm and Kayla go on a road trip to Wrigley Field as the Chicago Cubs try to defend their World Series title.

The Major League baseball playoffs are heading into their respective championship series. The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their dominance in the National League. A rematch with the Chicago Cubs could be on deck. Meanwhile, the Houston Astros offense looked impressive taking out the Boston Red Sox. The Astros have a great chance at their first ever World Series title.

Since Wrigley Field is in our own backyard, we took a field trip down the street to talk to Cubs fans ahead of Game 3 in the NLDS.

NFL, Kansas City is still perfect 5-0. Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith is looking more and more like he may be able to turn the plethora of talent around him into a Super Bowl winner. Aaron Rodgers continues to show why he is the best in the NFL at the quarterback position. What a comeback win over Dallas.

While week 5 saw great performance from around the NFL, it also saw significant injuries to significant players. The most notable of those include Odell Beckham Jr. (broken ankle) and JJ Watt (broken leg). Both suffered season ending injuries.

Jerry Jones said his players will stand for the anthem or not play, while Roger Goodell issued a league wide memo Tuesday regarding the players protest on inequality. Goodell said in part, “Like many of our fans, we believe that everyone should stand for the National Anthem. We want to honor our flag and our country, and our fans expect that of us.”

Goodell said the league wants to move past the controversy together with the players. The issue will be tackled at next week’s fall meetings October 17-18. Goodell is hoping to end the controversy by agreeing on a, “uniform approach for all teams, while also respecting the opinions and concerns by players regarding critical social issues.”

Two baseball managers made our losers of the week due to their poor choices in critical postseason games. Dusty Baker of the Washington Nationals and Joe Girardi of the New York Yankees earned their spot.

Our weekly winners include the BYU dance team and their mascot for busting a viral move. Congrats to the Minnesota Vikings players for celebrating a touchdown with duck, duck goose and to Michael Jordan for donating seven million to open medical clinics in Charlotte, NC.
