Jack Jorgensen and Patrick Schmidt are back to make their picks for the five biggest college football games of Week 7, including the latest installment of the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma.

It’s time to pick winners for the five biggest games of the college football weekend. Last week was a bit of a redemptive performance for me and Jack Jorgensen as we both went 4-1 with our picks. The lone blemish on last week’s record was Michigan who was upset at home under the lights by Michigan State. Other than that, we nailed our TCU, Miami, Washington State and Alabama picks.

This week will see us pick who we think will end up with the win from the biggest game from each Power Five conference.

Auburn at LSU – 3:30 p.m. EST – CBS

  • Schmidt: Auburn
  • Jorgensen: Auburn

LSU got a much-needed win last week against Florida but Auburn has a legit offense with quarterback Jarrett Stidham that should test LSU much more than the Gators.

Texas vs. Oklahoma – 3:30 p.m. EST – ESPN

  • Schmidt: Oklahoma
  • Jorgensen: Oklahoma

Oklahoma was stunned by Iowa State in their home stadium last week and we think the Sooners rebound against their bitter rival in the Red River Rivalry. Texas has been up and down, but the defense has played much better in recent weeks and will have to be stellar to give the Longhorns a chance at pulling off an upset.

Georgia Tech at Miami – 3:30 p.m. EST – ABC

  • Schmidt: Miami
  • Jorgensen: Miami

The U is back! After a last-second touchdown gave Miami a win over Florida State last Saturday, that was the proclamation after the Canes snapped their seven-game losing streak to one of their in-state rivals. Mark Walton is out for the year so the run game could be hurt, but expect quarterback Malik Rosier to step it up in his absence.

Michigan State at Minnesota – 8:00 p.m. EST – Big Ten Network

  • Schmidt: Michigan State
  • Jorgensen: Michigan State

Sparty stunned “big brother” in the Big House last week and already eclipsed last year’s win total. Now, the question remains, are they a legit contender in the division? If they are, they have to avoid a letdown against P.J. Fleck’s Minnesota squad that will be thinking upset. We think it’ll be a close one, but Sparty pulls off a close one on the road.

Utah at USC – 8:00 p.m. EST – ABC

  • Schmidt: USC
  • Jorgensen: Utah

We don’t disagree much this week as the Pac-12 showdown between USC and Utah is the lone game we differ on. I think Sam Darnold, Ronald Jones II and the Trojans will be ready to pounce on the Utes who suffered their first loss of the season last week to a Stanford team that was handled easily by USC in Week 2. Jack thinks the injuries to the Trojans could catch up to them this week against a Utah squad that annually ranks among the most underrated programs in the country.

Overall Record: Schmidt 21-9, Jorgensen 17-13
