BALTIMORE, MD - OCTOBER 15: Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky

The Bears battled the Ravens in Baltimore on Sunday afternoon in Mitchell Trubisky’s second start. Did the rookie pull out his first win on the road?

While the Baltimore Ravens were battling for a potential spot atop the AFC North, the main storyline heading into their battle with the Chicago Bears on Sunday in Baltimore was about Mitchell Trubisky searching for his first career win under center for the Bears.

The two teams battled in Week 6 to see if Trubisky could pull off a potential upset on the road against one of the league’s best defenses, and the young gun did it for the Bears. The team beat the Ravens on their own turf with a 27-24 victory in overtime.

It wasn’t a pretty game all around, but there were definitely some crazy highlights to check out on both sides.

Take a look at some of the action from the Bears’ upset win below:

Three Stars

1. Tarik Cohen

While he couldn’t get a lot going in the rushing game in the first half, with seven carries for just two yards, the rookie managed to throw a touchdown pass before his starting quarterback even could when he tossed a 21 yard bomb to Zach Miller to shift the momentum in the Bears’ favor. Anytime a running back throws a touchdown in a game is impressive, and Cohen gets first star honors for that huge play.

2. Jordan Howard

Without some huge rushes and an impressive performance on the ground from Jordan Howard, the Bears likely would’ve completely blown the game after looking like they had it put away. A big rush in overtime put the Bears back in the fray, and helped put them on top to win it for Chicago.

3. Mitchell Trubisky

Although he didn’t do much in regulation, the rookie earned his first career win in a Bears uniform on Sunday on the road, and defeated a tough Ravens defense in the process. His running backs and defense did most of the work, but props to the young stud for his first win under center in the NFL, and leading an impressive drive in overtime for the victory.

Odds

The Ravens were favored -7, according to Sportsbook Review, and they definitely didn’t live up to the hype in the loss at home in overtime.

Next Week

The Ravens will get some more NFC North action next week on the road against the Minnesota Vikings, while the Bears will have the Carolina Panthers come to Chicago for their Week 7 game.
